Welcome to winter in France, SYB-style. Fly into Geneva, and from there it’s an easy trip up to Val Thorens, Europe’s highest ski resort and the crown jewel of the Three Valleys. About a month before the trip, we’ll set up a group chat so everyone can connect, get all the travel tips, and know exactly what’s happening before arrival.
You’ll arrive, settle into our cozy ski-in ski-out hotel, and by afternoon we’re already clinking glasses at happy hour, meeting the crew that will become your snow family. That first night, we kick things off with a big welcome dinner before diving into Val Thorens nightlife with buzzing bars, live DJs, and that first taste of true alpine energy.
Every day, it’s coffee, breakfast, and straight onto the slopes. We’ll split into groups by level so everyone rides at their perfect pace, exploring endless Three Valleys terrain all day. From Val Thorens to the iconic slopes of Méribel and Courchevel, you’ll carve through some of the most legendary ski runs in the world. We also have two themed ski days where you’ll shred in full costume and turn heads all over the mountain. After fresh lines and big mountain moments, we rally at Folie Douce, the birthplace of après, for champagne showers, table dancing, and beats echoing across the peaks.
Back at the hotel, daily recovery is easy with access to the spa, hammam, and whirlpools. These will honestly be a lifesaver.
This trip really is all about skiing. There is endless terrain to explore, and that is exactly what we will be doing.
This is an alpine takeover across Val Thorens, Méribel, and Courchevel, filled with mountain adventure, wild après, and the best crew you could ask for. Pack your gear and your best dance moves. Allez, let’s go.
Due to different arrival times, we do not provide group transportation from the airport to the hotel in Val Thorens. We recommend arriving before 2:00 PM so you have enough time to get up the mountain, check in, and join our 5:00 PM welcome happy hour.
Val Thorens is about a two and a half hour drive from Geneva Airport and roughly three hours from Lyon Airport. Private transfers and shared shuttles are available, and we’ll share recommendations on the best options when you book.
Don’t forget to add your travel details in our check-in platform so we can track your arrival and stay connected.
Yes, travel and medical insurance is required. You must secure it before joining the program. If you choose not to purchase insurance, you accept full responsibility and agree to our cancellation policy.
To reserve your spot, a 25% deposit is required. This goes toward your total payment. The remaining balance is due six weeks before the program start date.
If you cancel more than 28 days before the program begins, you’ll receive trip credit (minus your deposit) that can be used toward any future SYB trip within 12 months.
If you cancel within 28 days, your payment is non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions.
We do not offer refunds for any reason. Travel insurance helps protect your investment if anything unexpected happens. It’s worth it.
This trip is for all levels, but we won’t be hanging on the bunny slopes. Our goal is to explore the massive Three Valleys terrain together and make the most of every run.
We’ll divide into groups on the mountain: one for more advanced skiers and one for intermediate/beginner riders, so everyone can move at their own pace and still feel included.
Val Thorens. Europe’s highest ski resort and the crown jewel of the legendary Three Valleys. Endless runs, ski-in ski-out living, and the wildest après scene on the planet. Think big mountain days, terrace rosé, fondue feasts, and dancing on tables at Folie Douce with your new crew.
Our trip officially kicks off at 5:00 PM on March 7, 2026, when you’ll check into our ski-in ski-out hotel in Val Thorens and meet the crew over happy hour drinks.
We wrap up on the morning of March 14. From there, you’re free to head home or keep the adventure going in Europe. Expect big hugs, a few happy tears, and a mind full of new memories.
All breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are included, so you can focus on skiing, partying, and making the most of every moment without stressing about where to eat.
Alcohol isn’t included, but don’t worry, we’ll cover a few first rounds and keep the good vibes flowing.
Val Thorens and the Three Valleys are a food lover’s dream. Think gooey alpine fondue, crispy tartiflette, rich raclette, local charcuterie, and endless post-ski treats that taste even better after a big day on the mountain. Get ready for long, lively dinners and plenty of toasts with your new crew.
We’ll be staying for eight nights at Hotel Les Arolles in Val Thorens, a cozy ski-in ski-out spot right on the slopes.
This will be your home base for all things skiing, spa time, terrace hangs, and legendary après in the heart of Europe’s highest resort.
Yes. Our hotel in Val Thorens, Hotel Club MMV Les Arolles, has a beautiful wellness area with a sauna, hammam, and whirlpools. Access to these spa facilities is included in your stay, so you can unwind after a big day on the mountain without any extra cost.
If you’d like to book treatments or massages (like facials or full body massages), those are available for an additional charge and can be reserved on-site.
Totally up to you. If you have your own gear and want to bring it, go for it.
If not, no worries. We’ll be renting from a trusted local shop in Val Thorens that has everything you need: skis, snowboards, boots, poles, and more.
We’ll sort rentals as soon as we arrive so you’re fully geared up and ready to hit the slopes first thing in the morning. No delays, just send.
You can expect a 6-day ski or snowboard rental package to cost around €250 to €300.
Yes! Our hotel has a designated ski room where you can safely store your skis and gear. It’s monitored by staff, so you can rest easy and focus on the après.
Val Thorens and the entire Three Valleys area (which includes Courchevel, Méribel, Les Menuires, etc.) are not partnered with Ikon or Epic Pass.
Yes. Epic Pass holders get up to 7 total days of skiing across Val Thorens, Méribel, and Courchevel (the Three Valleys). You need to make a reservation in advance through Epic, and you’ll have to stop by the local ticket office with your Epic Pass and ID to pick up your lift pass before hitting the slopes.
If you’re using your Epic Pass, we offer a $200 discount on your booking. Just use code EPICPASS at checkout, and we will not include a ski pass for you.
Yes, daily.
We’ve got a crew coming through to clean up after you filthy animals so your space stays fresh, even if you don’t. 😎
Very. Val Thorens and the surrounding Three Valleys are safe, welcoming mountain towns with a fun international vibe. That said, we always recommend using common sense. Leave valuables in your room safe when we’re out, and maybe skip the flashy jewelry. This trip is all about big lines, big nights, and big memories, not big flexes.
France uses the euro (€), and most places in Val Thorens and the Three Valleys accept credit cards. You’ll still want some cash on hand for smaller spots, quick après drinks, or spontaneous crepe stops on the mountain.
We recommend bringing around €300 for extra drinks, lunches, and any fun souvenirs along the way. There are ATMs in town, but it’s always smart to grab cash before you arrive just in case.
Pro tip: Mountain towns are super safe, so carrying cash is totally normal.
Yes, the tap water in Val Thorens is safe to drink, and honestly, it’s some of the freshest alpine water you’ll ever taste. Straight from the mountains, crisp and clean, way better than that overpriced bottle from the airport. Bring a reusable water bottle and stay hydrated, especially after long ski days and big après nights.
Absolutely, and we actually recommend it. This trip is your chance to show up as your truest, most adventurous self. No baggage, no expectations, no old routines.
When you come solo, you open yourself up to deeper connections, new experiences, and a crew that becomes instant family.
We totally get that it can feel intimidating at first, but trust us, this is the best way to do it. Most of our guests come solo, and by day one, you won’t feel that way anymore.
Yes. You can leave your phone in your bag and stay present while a professional photographer and videographer capture every moment. From sunrise workouts to beach adventures and late-night laughs, you’ll get high-quality content without lifting a finger.
And yes, it’s all included in your trip. Your post-trip photo dump is going to break the group chat.
This isn’t a luxury spa retreat or a quiet mountain getaway. This is Val Thorens, the SYB way, a full-sensory mix of big mountain adventure, wild après, deep connections, and nonstop fun.
You’ll stay in a cozy ski-in ski-out hotel that keeps you right in the heart of the action. It’s not five-star luxury, but it’s real, welcoming, and the perfect home base for everything we have planned.
Expect morning stretch or movement sessions to keep your body ready, epic ski days exploring the endless Three Valleys, and afternoons that turn into wild après at Folie Douce. Big group dinners, terrace parties, hot tub hangs, and spontaneous dance floors are all part of the ride.
Need a break? Take it. Chill at the spa, nap in your room, or sneak off for a quiet glass of wine. No judgment.
All you need is an open mind, a sense of adventure, and a willingness to say yes.
This trip will challenge you and connect you in the best way possible.
