fun for daze

Fly into AGA airport in Agadir, anytime before 2pm and we'll shuttle you to our hotel on the beach. After check-in, we'll head to the beach to do a light workout and have some sunset beers or a cold glass of rose. There will be some chillin' by the pool as we get to know each other, followed by a chef-curated Moroccan dinner spread right at the hotel. We'll get down under the stars to a local DJ and some surprises, and this is just the beginning.

  • Hotel in Taghazout

After the first night in your deluxe villa, head to the beach for workout games, jump in the water to cool off and take our time enjoying a big breakfast. We'll break up into smaller groups and start our surf lessons, shred some waves, while the other half ride some ATVs through the desert lands to the beach. Later, we'll explore the local area, do some sunset yoga, and head into town for a group dinner and of course a good themed party!

  • Hotel in Taghazout

Emphasis on surfing, beach workouts, and lounging. We head into the local surf town to explore how local surfer dudes live and then come back for an epic night dinner at our hotel with live local music!

  • Hotel in Taghazout

After our morning we'll drive from Agadir to our Riad in Marrakech. Marrakech is a feast for the senses. Be enticed by the alluring scents and brilliant colors of the spice markets, the sounds of the musicians, and taste the delectable foods. We'll have a tour of the medina and see the best of Morocco's nightlife!

  • Hotel in Marrakech

Our signature SYB wake up calls will get you pumped for your morning poolside bootcamp and yoga, followed by a delicious breakfast - you'll be ready for a full day exploring. We hit up more cultural tours and then end our Marrakech tours with a visit to the beautiful Yves Saint Laurent Gardens - be dressed you'll be getting some sexy portraits here.

After buying our desert swag for cheap in the markets, we'll head towards the Agafay desert for the last and most enchanting part of our trip! As the stars start coming out, our local Berber musicians are going to mesh with our DJ to create the most beautiful desert party you've ever been to... Burning man vibes...

  • Hotel in Agafay

Desert fitness, jump in the pool, eat a big breakfast then get on those ATVs! After lunch, we jump onto camels and ride through the sunset. Tonight we've set up live music with local Berbers by the biggest camp fire you've ever seen. Prepare to see more stars than you've ever seen before.

  • Hotel in Agafay

Wake up in a dream oasis early to get on that sunrise hot air balloon moment. It's all champagne breakfast, chill by the pool, and take in a full open free day! Choose from going to Marrakech, or the Atlas Mountain, or just chillin and hanging with some of your new best friends by the poolside bar in our desert oasis.

  • Hotel in Agafay

We check out early (or at 10am latest) and take our SYB bus to Marrakech airport and arrive by 7:45am for your international flight.

cool stuff people said

As always this is the highlight reel, but the more I travel and experience different cultures the real highlight is beginning to see more and more similarities among us. While we all approach things differently, we all are really just playing a little part in something so much bigger than ourselves 🌍 (thank you @juliana.jpg for those words❤️). I hope we all can start to look for more of those similarities as we interact with the world and people around us. Incredible week meeting, connecting, adventuring, caring, exploring and truly just being with people from all walks of life. On to the next adventure ✈️ #SYBMorocco

like sands through the hourglass these are the days of our lives

'being surrounded by the magical moroccan culture and all the amor led to one trip I’ll never forget'

It’s safe to say we all fell in LOVE ❤️ with the Moroccan culture! We danced our hearts out to local music, we watched the sunrise at 4AM while riding camels 🐫, and we rode ATV’s and sand-boarded across the Sahara sand! Unforgettable memories and friendships that will last a lifetime = a SYB success!

Stepping way outside my comfort zone! From sand surfing to actual surfing.

The highlight of the trip was riding out into the Sahara desert and spending time with the Berbers. They brought us in and treated us like their own. They dressed us, introduced us to their cuisine, music, and traditions. They taught me about their strong Jewish lineage. They even offered me a spot on their drum-line. 🥁 - We get so caught up in our daily grind that we forget there’s a whole world out there. Learn and experience how other people live. I promise it will teach you more about yourself than you realize. 🇲🇦

Good vibes since day 1, thank you ❤️ So blessed to have met all of these amazing people! Forever will remember #sybmorocco 🇲🇦

I don’t know if any life experience will beat staying up all night in the Sahara desert and then going on a 5AM camel ride to watch the sunrise 🌅🐫 Thankful for the opportunity and even happier about the memories that were made 💕•

I am beyond blessed to have experienced the Moroccan culture, sights, and towns with 32 strangers who became friends and then family. Each and every one of you have had an impact on my life that I will never forget. Another big thanks to @surfyogabeer @katiebhappyy @aubreylauryn @samirpoonawala @francisdolloway @rasikhsyed and @lamitta88 for making this trip so very special. It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later

Safety in Morocco

We created this amazing and beautiful guide with all the info you need about the 2023 Morocco trip coming up:

Arrive to Agadir Al-Massira International Airport (not Casablanca, this is Agadir) anytime before 2pm on trip start date to catch the SYB transport to our beach destination. If you arrive later please inform us before hand and we'll help you arrange a taxi. It is about an hour drive from the airport.

We will finish in Marrakesh and you can take any flight that suits you.

The first three nights we're in Agadir and staying at the Sol House Taghazout Bay by Raddison Blu

While in Marrakesh we will be staying at Palm Menara right in the center of the old medina.

In the desert, we'll stay at the Selina Agafay.

The Moroccan dirham (MAD) is the official currency of Morocco. USD and Euros are valid forms of currency in the country.

We suggest bringing $300 to $400 to use at bars and a few of our meals out, but otherwise, we've got you covered!

ATMs are widely available in Morocco, but we suggest withdrawing money in your home country to avoid international withdrawal fees.

We will provide dinners for the entire trip, but a few lunches won't be as we'll be wandering the markets in Marrakech or chilling by the pool in Taghazout Bay; it's up to you what you want!

Alcohol is not included, but impress your new friends and get bottle service for all!!

Moroccan cuisine is a mix of Arab, Mediterranean, sub-Saharan and some European influences, but it primarily aligns with traditional Arab cuisine.

Morocco is a large producer of fruits such as oranges, grapefruits, lemons, melons, plums, apricots, grapes, figs, and dates, and various vegetables such as potatoes, onions, zucchini, carrots, and pumpkin.

Spices and ras el hanout are incredibly common in Moroccan cooking, alongside fresh herbs.

Try tagine, kefta or anything using local spices and herbs for a flavour profile, unlike anything you may have tried!

While staying in Taghazout Bay, we are just steps away from a surf school. So wander on down to take two surf lessons during our time here! You'll be a pro in no time with your two included surf lessons.

This experience is included in trip fees.

We will be riding ATVs twice - once on the beach and once on the dunes. This way, we get our footing on our first beachfront trip, but then we take it to the desert and rip through the dunes like pros!

This experience is included in trip fees.

After a late night, you may not want to wake up and join us for a workout, but we highly suggest it! Included in your trip, the boot camps and yoga sessions keep us energized - there is nothing better than waking up and sweating with your new friends! Our world-class trip leaders know how to start your day the best way, with a good workout to prime us for a day of adventuring.

This experience is included in trip fees.

We will be doing a few cultural tours while in Morocco, from a tour of the Marrakech nightlife to the stunning YSL Garden and Museum to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou to the world-famous souks (markets) in Marrakech, we will be perfectly mixing culture with once in a lifetime adventures and fitness.

These experiences are included in trip fees.

We're taking hump day to a whole new level. Imagine a pack of your new friends riding camels through the desert with the world's largest dunes surrounding you. There truly is nothing more picturesque. This included experience is one in a lifetime, and the crowd of your friends from SYB will make this experience nothing but what you've dreamed about.

This experience is included in trip fees.

That's right, we're going 'all the way up' - of course this is optional, but def unreal if you can sum up the courage! We'll be doing this in the deep desert overlooking the sunrise!

No need to whip out your phone or camera at any point throughout this trip because we have got you covered. We will have a professional photographer and videographer joining us on this trip to capture every moment. These will be the best travel photos and videos you will ever get - you're friends better be ready for a photo dump out of their wildest dreams!!

We highly recommend you get travel and/or medical insurance. This is just for emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.

Fly into the country's southern Atlantic coast to Agadir Al-Massira International Airport (AGA). Agadir is located in the foothills of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. It is known for its exports of citrus fruit, vegetables, and fresh fish at the country's most vital fishing port. Agadir is also known for being Morocco's best beaches and beautiful warm Atlantic water for swimming & surfing. In-land from Agadir is the stunning Marrakech, known for its world-class souks (markets) with unique rugs, leather goods, silverware, pottery and local delicacies found in abundance. Aside from markets and rich cultural histories in Marrakech, the nightlife is to die for - known for mixes of western and Moroccan-inspired music. The Sahara Desert is the largest in the world; it is home to the famous sand dune fields, which are the highest in the world. This picturesque landscape leads us to the historical beauty of Casablanca. Contrary to what we've experienced, Casablanca's French colonial history hosts a stunning mix of European and Moroccan design. Fly home from Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) in Casablanca

Drinking water from the tap is generally done by locals, but it is suggested for travellers stick to filtered or tap water to be safe. But don't worry, we will constantly ensure that we have safe drinking water!

Morocco is a safe country for tourists. However, pickpocketing and scammers can be expected. Our accommodations will have safes for us to leave our valuables in, and we suggest leaving all important items in the safe while we are out exploring - but maybe keep your Yeezys and nice jewelry at home!

We suggest reading about cultural differences in Morocco to attempt to respect locals and immerse yourself in local culture.

Adventure with your best friends you haven't met yet!
