We'll pick you up from the airport either at 11am or 3pm and take you straight to our magical home! If you have different travel times, you can always Uber, it's about a 50 minute drive.
We'll get to know each other through fitness, yoga and the ocean! Dinner is served at 9pm, dancing is rampant, and the lights go low once the disco balls come out. Where this night takes you is your story, but this is just day 1.
FULL SYB DAY
Get ready to experience SYB to it's fullest. We begin with wake up calls (more on this later), go straight into morning workouts, beach games, yoga cool down, a dip in the ocean to refresh...and a hearty breakfast, all before it's even 9am.
Next comes boxing lessons, then we're off to explore our surf town, head to the beach, grab lunch, ride golf carts, enjoy a cold beer laughing with friends and start our surf lessons...all before it's even 4pm. Don't even ask us how the rest of this night goes down, you'll have to come and see for yourself!
By now, you'll get the hang of waking up with boom box music and workouts. We'll head to Las Marietas Islands with our catamaran for some secluded island snorkeling! We have dinner at our house and play fun games throughout the night.
This will be our last dinner, so we'll make it one that you'll remember for the rest of your life!
Sleep in friends, we know last night was crazy, so we'll start the day at 10am. This amazing hike is where you find out how really beautiful and spiritual is the vortex of Sayulita as we ascend the mountain. Our hike is only 3-4 hours, so after lunch in town we'll then focus back on surfing, standup paddle boarding, and anything else water related! We'll get back to the house to cool off and we finish the day with a beautiful sunset yoga session.
We finish our night with a beautiful dinner on the beach in front of our villa and bring out our local salsa dance instructors. WHAT?! That's right, so better have a few shots of tequila for this lesson.
Sleep in friends, we know last night was crazy. We'll start the day at 10am. But once we start, we don't stop - morning workouts, surf, pool time, sunset viewing deck yoga, and for our last night of 2020 we have a few surprises!
We'll wake up to a new year and new habits! We'll give you some time to recover but then straight into our workouts, yoga and salt water ocean therapy! We'll do some life reflection exercises to help set the right path for a new year!
As the sun drops, we pull out the yoga mats to stretch our sore bodies and take our practice to a deeper level...this is where magic truly happens.
This is our last night, so we'll do our awards, feast together and take it out with bang!

Sayulita is a village on Mexico’s Pacific coast backed by the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains. It’s known for beaches with strong surf, like the central Sayulita Beach.
This Mexican form of wrestling is as much about entertainment as it is about 'sport', known for colorful masks and rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers.
The colourful streets of Sayulita are packed with art and culture...Insta GOLD!
“'Thanks for the memories, tacos and soreness in muscle groups I never knew existed. Love you Surf Yoga Beer + love you Sayulita'”
“'Seriously though... can we go back now?'”
“'My fitness adventure with Surf Yoga Beer was nothing like I've done before, I met some of the most amazing like minded people and pushed my body beyond what I thought was possible. Everyday we were challenged with 3-4 or more workouts. It was just what I needed coming out of finals. Overall, my experience with SYB was truly amazing and inspires me to keep moving/fighting to keep pushing myself forward'”
“'Surf's up. PS life is better with your own personal photog'”
“'Not just peaking in taco consumption'”
Where are we staying?
Safety and security in the region
Can you handle it?
We stay at the stunning Casablanca Hotel in Sayulita, you'll love it's beach front location and close proximity to town.
Arrivals to Puerto Vallarta airport where you'll meet the SYB Shuttle. We'll pick you up from the airport either at 11am or 3pm and take you straight to our magical home! If you have different travel times, you can always Uber, it's about a 50 minute drive.
The SYB shuttle will depart at 10am on Jan 2nd, so expect to be at the airport by 11am. You can leave luggage at our house if you have a later flight, but then you'll need to find your own ride to the airport.
We'll be doing some adventures throughout this trip that require a bit of self awareness of the surrounding area. Remember this is the jungle.
Dehydration is a common cause of feeling unwell. We require everyone to bring their own refillable water bottle and drink lots of water.
Avoid drinking too much alcohol. Of course you will want to enjoy a few beers and try some of the local rum around the first night, however don't make yourself a liability. Nobody wants to have to look after a drunk person. Tropical hangovers are a nightmare and you don't want to miss out on the day activities if you are trying to recover from the night before!
Your skin will burn easily in the tropics especially ya'll winter hybernating New Yorkers. Get the proper gear, and protection!
There has been no incidents that we've heard of or come across that would have us concerned. You are safe in the area and very safe if you stay with us, our accommodation is very secure and has a night guard all year.
DO NOT FLUSH ANY PRODUCTS, INCLUDING PAPER, DOWN THE TOILETS.
This is a third world country and the sewage is not the same as the US. There are waste baskets next to bathrooms, please use those.
This is a tropical beach adventure, not a yoga retreat or luxury travel experience. But our property is very beautiful with very comfortable and clean rooms. As we're in the middle of the jungle you'll have to keep an eye out for bugs, and spiders. As long as you keep the doors shut you should be good.
Almost everyday you can expect morning workouts, sunset yoga, beach run throughs, and fitness games. We'll be pairing that with big group dinners, nights out in town, and lots of dancing! You can always take it at your own pace, skip workouts or adventures and stay back at the house.
If you have an open mind and a sense of adventure we believe you can easily handle this adventure!
