French Alps and Apres Ski

The slopes are calling, and we're answering. It's time to turn in your swimsuit for some snow pants because SYB is heading to the French Alps for a week of powder shredding and après-ski. There's no better place to get your European winter vibe fix than Chamonix, a quaint little village right at the base of Mont Blanc. Skiing down Western Europe's tallest peak, talk about big mountain energy. We'll be spending our days riding chairlifts instead of waves and knocking back brew-skis with our fondue. If you're still awake after a long day on the slopes, our nights will consist of cozy fam dinners, games, and drinks by the fire, and chalet turn-ups. Adjust your altitude. Pack your ski bag. Welcome to Ski Yoga Beer.

Safety in the French Alps

If you'd like to make the SYB transport, please fly into Geneva International Airport in Switzerland by 11 am. Our bus will leave shortly after we collect everyone and should arrive at the hotel by 12 pm. Our check-in isn't until later, but we'll be starting the day the SYB way!

Please input your flight info on our check-in platform.

New Yorkers, we recommend flying with Swiss Air and arriving at 9:20 am

Departing SYB transfer will be at 8 am on March 17th and should arrive at Geneva airport by 9:30 am.

Up to you. If you have equipment, please feel free to bring it. If not, we will be renting from a local shop. They can provide any and all equipment needed for skiing or snowboarding.

Yes, we've got a ski room!

Yes it will! That is one of the reasons we chose this mountain, because so many of you want to give it a rip! *there is no trip discount if you are using your ikon pass.

All levels are welcome. We will divide into beginner, soft intermediate, hard intermediate, and advanced groups. Recommend some experience as this is a proper mountain, not a bunny hill.

There are various bus routes in the valley which allow you to access the lifts, and it's actually super convenient as our hotel is right outside the bus stop!

Yes of course, next question please...

Yes, on the daily to clean you filthy animals up!

Our trip officially starts at 3 pm on March 12th, as that is when you check into our hotel.

Our trip ends on the morning of March 17th. You choose your best departure, but please see SYB-provided transportation to know when you can join our scheduled departure as a group.

We're meeting at Geneva airport at 1 pm to depart as a group. Please use the check-in process with your booking to give us all the information needed to expect you.

Departure will be at 11 am, back to Geneva airport as a group.

This is mandatory. You need to have this to join our trip!

No need to whip out your phone or camera at any point throughout this trip because we have got you covered. We will have a professional photographer and videographer joining us on this trip to capture every moment. These will be the best travel photos and videos you will ever get - you're friends better be ready for a photo dump out of their wildest dreams!!

This experience is included in trip fees.

Fly to Geneva into Genève Aéroport (GVA); from there, you will be shuttled to the stunning Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. The base camp of Chamonix is the highest summit in the Alps - the panoramic views from the peaks are like non-other.

The town of Chamonix is a bustling Alpine town surrounded by breathtaking scenery. With tons of bars, restaurants & shops, Chamonix has developed a reputation for being the sports capital of the world.

Plan B Hotel has a view of Mont-Blanc and is a short 5-minute walk from the lift. There really is nothing more you want for a ski trip!

The local currency in France is Euros. However, most French establishments do not accept international currency outside banks or money exchange institutions.

We suggest bringing about €300 to €400 to use at bars and a few of our dinners (bring more if you're worried about running out!), but otherwise, we've got you covered! For reference, the average price of an alcoholic drink is €8.

There are ATMs in the town of Chamonix, but we urge you to prepare and withdraw cash before the start of the trip!

All meals are included except for 1 dinner in town. Alcohol is semi-provided, meaning when we do happy hour (apres ski) we've got beers, aperol and wine flowing for a 2 hours every afternoon - after that it's up to you if you wanna keep going.

Many local foods in the town of Chamonix are best-enjoyed post-winter activities! From raclette, grilled cheese cooked at your table, to fondue, to brasserie, grilled meat cooked at your table, or tartiflette, a layered potato, cheese, and bacon dish, these warm dishes are all best enjoyed with friends on a cold day!

Don't forget about hot chocolate and warm drinks too! You'll need lots of those to warm up.

There will also be non-cheesy dishes mixed into our diet - got to keep it balanced!

Tap water is safe to drink, but it is heavily chlorinated. Often, it is suggested to drink filtered or mineral water. However, this is pure preference!

Chamonix is very safe for tourists, as it is located in a valley in the french alps. There is a very low crime. However, we suggest leaving all important items in the safe while we are out exploring - but maybe keep your Yeezys and nice jewelry at home!

With a trip of this nature, skiing can be dangerous. Make sure you feel comfortable on skis!
