We are meeting up at Union Square. If you are running or biking, check-in starts at 7:00 AM so we can load your gear and hit the road early. If you are cruising in the SYB transport van, your check-in is at 8:30 AM.
We have you completely covered. Drop your heavy beach bags, towels, and change of clothes with our support crew at Union Square before you head out. Our team will haul everything down to the coast in the SYB vans so your gear is waiting for you the second your feet hit the sand.
Yes. If you choose the bike variant, you are responsible for bringing your own wheels, helmet, and flat kit. Make sure your bike is tuned up and ready to handle the mileage before you meet the squad at Union Square. Citi bike is also an option.
No crew member gets left behind. We design our routes with the community in mind and our support vans will trailing the group the entire way down to Rockaway. If you need a break, want to skip a few miles, or just need some water, you can hop right into a van at any point. Notes that we will make frequent stops at bodegas for water.
Pack like you are going to a massive beach party because you are. Bring a beach towel, swimsuit, sunscreen, a change of dry clothes, and your yoga mat. Throw it all into one bag, hand it to our van crew at check-in, and commute down to the water completely weight-free.
