Welcome to the ultimate Irish adventure with SYB, where we’ll explore the breathtaking landscapes, vibrant culture, and endless songs and laughter of the Emerald Isle.
Our journey kicks off as we touch down at Dublin International Airport, ready to embrace our first day. A warm welcome awaits as we hop on our bus to the Guinness Open Gate Brewery, shaking off the jet lag with a rejuvenating yoga session. Surrounded by the aromas of freshly brewed beer, we savor our first pints and enjoy a delicious lunch while soaking in stunning 360° views of Dublin’s iconic landmarks at the Guinness Storehouse. After checking into the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road and freshening up, the evening invites us into Dublin’s lively pub scene at M’O Briens, with the iconic Temple Bar District calling for those eager to explore further.
The next morning, we rise early for the Dublin Dawn Patrol—a group run through the city’s historic streets. With hearty breakfasts fueling us, we transfer to the Killarney Heights Hotel, stopping along the way for local brews and scenic views. Once checked in, it’s time to lace up our hiking boots and explore the picturesque trails surrounding Ross Castle. After an exhilarating hike, we gather for dinner, choosing between the comfort of the hotel or the vibrant energy of Killarney town.
Our adventure continues with a flex day, where the weather decides our path. Morning yoga kicks things off, followed by an epic hike up Carrauntoohil, tackling the famed Devil’s Ladder (if weather permits, could be dangerous). A packed lunch at the trailhead brings shared stories and laughter before we return to unwind. The evening brings us together for our Pot o’ Gold Themed Happy Hour in the Lobby Bar, where photos, drinks, and connections flourish. With a night of endless options, we can either roam Killarney’s lively streets or savor a cozy meal back at the hotel.
Next, we’re off to the stunning Inch Beach, where we trade hiking boots for workout gear, ready for a beach run and bootcamp session, complete with games and refreshing ocean dips. As we continue along the scenic Dingle Drive, we hunt for the perfect lunch spot before diving into the Dingle Pub Crawl, ending with a delightful dinner in this charming coastal town. The evening offers the choice to stay in Dingle or wind down back at the hotel bar.
Our journey then takes us to Muckross Abbey for a morning yoga session under its open roof, letting nature join us. After hiking to the breathtaking Torc Waterfall, we head to Lahinch for a beach day, complete with surfing lessons. Lunch at Joe’s fuels us for a visit to the iconic Cliffs of Moher, where awe-inspiring views leave us speechless. That night, we check into the Clyburn Hotel in Galway, dressing up for our Green in Galway theme night with drinks and dancing at the Quay Bar.
Our final day begins with the Galway SYB Triathlon, where we spin, run, and plunge into the ocean, laughing through every challenge. After some well-deserved relaxation in the sauna and hot tub, we dress to impress for the races, where hats are the highlight of the day! We wrap up with a celebratory dinner and farewell awards ceremony, toasting to new friendships and unforgettable memories.
As we close this epic journey, our hearts are full. We leave with stories to share and friendships forged against the beautiful backdrop of Ireland. Through every adventure, we embraced the SYB spirit—surfing, yoga, and, of course, enjoying a pint or two with our new best friends. Until next time, Ireland!
We recommend flying into Dublin anytime so that you catch our 12pm SYB bus transportation service! If you come in later or earlier, feel free to meet us at the hotel.
* IMPORTANT - Please note our trip ends in Galway, so we recommend you book flights home from Shannon airport. Check out is 10:30am. Also note, we will not be providing transport to the airport on departure day.
We will stay at "The Clybaun Hotel" in Galway for two nights, then we'll move to "The Killarney Heights Hotel" in Killarney for three nights, and for the last night we'll be staying at "The Clayton Hotel Burlington Road" in Dublin.

Our world-class trip leaders know how to start your day the best way, with a good workout to prime us for a day of adventuring.

Prepare to traverse the diverse tapestry of Ireland, where each destination unveils a unique chapter in a captivating story of natural wonders and cultural riches. Our journey begins in Galway, a vibrant coastal gem where the rhythm of the Atlantic sets the tone for an adventure brimming with heritage and scenic beauty.
From the lively streets of Galway, our hiking journey starts at the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher where nature’s greatness takes center stage. Right on top of the Atlantic, these majestic cliffs invite travelers to witness the raw power of Ireland’s coastline.
Getting a little deeper into Ireland’s heart, we will find ourselves amidst the great landscapes of Killarney National Park. Ancient woodlands, lakes and mountains create a canvas of tranquility and natural beauty. Each step through this pristine wilderness reveals cascading waterfalls, secluded trails, and a profound sense of connection.
Our journey will also take us to Ireland’s dynamic and bustling capital. Dublin entices with its rich history, culture, treasures and vibrant urban energy.
The official currency of Ireland is the Euro (€). While the Euro is widely accepted, especially in tourist areas, many establishments also accept major currencies such as US Dollars (USD) and British Pounds (GBP). However, it's advisable to carry Euros for convenience, particularly when venturing into more rural or less touristy areas.
Ireland, like many modern societies, extensively uses credit and debit cards for transactions. Inform your bank about your travel plans to ensure seamless card usage abroad. Nevertheless, having about €200 to €300 in cash in your home currency can be beneficial, especially for small purchases or in case of emergencies.
95% of drinking water in Ireland comes from springs, so it is one of the cleanest and most delicious waters to drink. The tap water is free of chlorine, calcium, and nitrate, so be prepared to love this water!
Ireland boasts a reputation for being one of the safest and friendliest destinations globally. With low crime rates, travelers often feel secure exploring its cities, towns, and natural wonders. However, to ensure a worry-free experience, it's advisable to leave valuable items, important documents, and large sums of money secured at your accommodations when venturing out.
