This is our fifth annual Black Tie Gala, and this year is The Gold Standard: five years of galas, one family, 30+ countries of adventures behind us. It's the one night the whole SYB community lands in the same room to reconnect, welcome new faces, and toast the year ahead.
This is a true black tie event. Think tuxedos, gowns, and your classiest fits. Have fun with it and dress to impress. This year is The Gold Standard, so gold accents are strongly encouraged: jewelry, pocket squares, cufflinks, a full gold gown if you dare.
Yes. Many people come solo, and you’ll feel welcomed right away. By the end of the night, you’ll have a whole new circle of friends.
Entry to the gala, open bar, professional photos, and a $100 credit toward an SYB trip valid for 48 hours after the event.

The morning after the gala, we’ll email you a unique code worth $100 to use toward any SYB trip. You’ll have 48 hours to use it, so get ready to book your next adventure fast.

We release tickets in three waves. First Call is $150 (last year's price) through August 31 or the first 60 tickets, whichever goes first. Then it's General Admission at $195, and once the room is nearly full, Last Call at $225. The earlier you commit, the less you pay. Every wave includes the same thing: entry, open bar, and the $100 trip credit.
Not even close. It's a full weekend: a free welcome party Friday night, a group workout Saturday morning, the gala Saturday night, and a recovery picnic in the park on Sunday (weather permitting). RSVP details for the free events live on the gala page and in your confirmation email.
