COMMON PACKING FAQs

Will there be a chance to do laundry?

Depending on the trip location, there may not be an opportunity to do a proper washing. We recommend bringing extra changes of clothes if you can fit them, and also encourage embracing whatever salty, sandy, or sweatiness you get yourself into!

Pro Tip: Throw a few of these travel detergent packs in your luggage for emergency washing needs.

I've heard there are theme parties, what should I bring?

You heard correctly, and whatever the theme party, it will be epic. A few weeks before your trip, you will be notified of the theme and what accessories or outfits to bring to your adventure.

Should I pack in a carry-on bag?

Pack as you wish, but be aware that certain locations may require carrying your luggage upstairs or through longer paths. SYB is free of judgment, so don't be surprised if you see people doubling up on the clothing or deciding to live in a swimsuit or workout clothes for the majority of the trip!

Pro Tip: Using a larger backpack as your "personal item" if traveling by plane gives you extra space to store your travel goods.

Should I bring my camera?

Part of the SYB charm is that each trip includes a dedicated photographer, helping you to be present and enjoy the moment. Whether you need a new dating profile photo or want to capture the moment with new friends, consider it taken care of.

If you still need some outfit inspo, check out the SYB Instagram to see what other adventurers have worn throughout different destinations. Whatever you decide to pack and whatever you wear, you're in for an epic trip. Just don't forget your passport!
