Natural beauty, a sense of wholeness and peace, returning to your center with intentional grounding. If this sounds like heaven to you, look no further for your zen than at a yoga retreat. A yoga retreat involves incorporating the all-encompassing benefits for your body, mind, and spirit, helping you transcend limitations and experience positive transformations. You’ll fully relax while connecting to our beautiful planet and your inner guidance. But a yoga retreat doesn’t have to be all reflection and flows 24/7 (though we definitely do our fair share of this, too). It can also be a life-changing experience that provides community, healthy routines, and a sense of belonging. It’s all about finding balance in your life while surrounded by supportive people and professionals who will motivate you to be your best self. With most of the hassle of travel taken care of for you, extensive daily programming by leaders in the industry, and your new best friends waiting to break a sweat, it’s an experience you’ll be talking about for years to come. The question is, what do you want to get out of it?
Imagine your mat rolled out in a treehouse palapa listening to the sounds of waves crashing below you and the brightest orange sun you’ve ever seen setting over the horizon. A yoga retreat will take your mind, body, and spirit out of your day-to-day and put a focus on what truly matters. Trust us, a Shavasana on a gorgeous beach next to crystal blue water is much more enjoyable than your sweaty city yoga studio. You will go home with new inspiration, memories, friends, and probably a new favorite position.
If you’re looking for a truly zen spot, try our OG destination in Playa Maderas, Nicaragua. Nicaragua has become an increasingly popular destination for yoga retreats due to its peaceful environment and views of jaw-dropping beaches to inspire and hone your practice. There is no better place to center yourself and reap all the physical and mental benefits that yoga can offer than a beach filled with natural charm. If you want the whole SYB experience, this is it.
Traveling solo? That's exactly what we recommend. Most of our guests come alone and end up finding not only themselves but new best friends, as well. What better way to truly transform on a yoga retreat than shedding your old self with strangers that become family?
This isn't your mom's yoga retreat. You won’t find us “ohm-ing” and sitting in silence all day. While we work to recenter ourselves every day, we know it’s all a part of a balanced lifestyle. When you escape the grind of the 9-5 with a tribe of adventurous souls and mix together sweaty, heart-pounding workouts with daily grounding meditative yoga and a whole bunch of exploration, local culture, and adrenaline-pumping good times -- you’ve got yourself one hell of a well-rounded yoga retreat. And in SYB style, a couple of beers or so.
Our trip leaders are some of the top professionals in the fitness industry, from SoulCycle instructors to Barry’s coaches to yogi-holics; we only work with the best of the best. You can expect them to guide you through meditative yoga flows, extensive workouts, epic surf lessons, and even the hottest Salsa moves on the dance floor. Our mornings often start out with a bootcamp-style workout, followed by a big breakfast to regain our strength for a day of nonstop activities. And it wouldn’t be a fully rounded yoga retreat without sunset (or sunrise) yoga to stretch our muscles and reflect back on the day before getting into the debauchery ahead.
As soon as the endorphins start pumping, conversation and sweaty high-fives flourish. Pair that with a beautiful new destination, and you’ve got yourself the optimal breeding ground for a tight-knit community.
All different levels are welcome- even if the only time you’ve ever broken a sweat is hustling to the fridge during commercial breaks. Coming to all workouts and yoga sessions is highly encouraged but not mandatory, and we make adjustments for various fitness levels and injuries. The point is to try something new and make memories that you’ll never forget.
Throw yourself in a group trip with likeminded people who we can say all love adventure, a little fitness, and a little party! Come alone and leave with your new best friends you haven't met yet.
