Experience crystal clear waters of the Dalmatian Coast and tour historical centers of culture in Medieval cities like Dubrovnik
Lopud is the sexiest of the Elafiti islands, a small archipelago northwest of Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Ruin My Life
Once reserved as the summer getaway for aristocrats from the mainland, the island had two monasteries, 30 churches, and several noble palaces. Unfortunately, devastation hit with the earthquake of 1667, leaving the island littered with ruins.
Park It
Sorry, no Uber in these parts! Lopud is a car-free, pedestrian paradise. Less noise and improved air quality: breathe it all in as you watch some dope sunsets.
Life's a Beach
Sunj Beach is the gem of the Elafiti Islands with white sand (a rarity in Croatia) and clear blue water that remains knee-deep for almost 100 meters out to sea.
Don't Get Tide Down
There are 1,246 islands in the Adriatic sea along the Croatian coast, 47 of which are currently uninhabited. SYB island takeover, let's go!
There’s no better place to combine uplifting yoga with the opportunity to experience and connect deeply with yourself than in the stunning European vistas of Croatia. Located on the Adriatic Sea, our hidden gem magical island of Lopud, is known for having the best beaches and landscapes in the Dubrovnik region of Croatia. It’s not hard to see why Croatia’s wellness scene has grown significantly over the last decade (we’ll give partial credit to GoT). The country is quickly being recognized for its dope history, culture, and stunning nature. It’s the perfect backdrop for settling into your zen after nonstop days of adventure.
Imagine climbing out of crystal clear waters after an afternoon of cliff jumping, rolling out your mat, and deeply breathing in the clear island air while you revel in gratitude for this beautiful life. Our sexy island of Lupod will inspire you to find your deeper zen. As you reconnect with your center while watching an incredible summer sunset over the ocean, you’ll realize this is one of those magical moments that will stay with you forever.
What’s a little bit of yoga without some sore muscles to stretch out? Good thing Croatia is at the top of the list when it comes to outdoor adventures. One of our favorite workouts to do in Lopud, besides beach bootcamps, is traversing up the hilly landscape. It’s a car-free island, so the only way to get up those hills is by foot or piggyback. 10,000 daily steps? Please, that's child’s play.
You’ll discover the history and ruins of Lopud while working up a sweat climbing to the Sutvrac Fortress. If the hike doesn't take your breath away, the view certainly will. We agree with Miley Cyrus -- it’s all about the climb, but a great view at the top definitely makes it more worthwhile. Hiking in Croatia is mega popular on the island, with trails clearly marked and maps readily available so getting lost isn’t usually on the agenda. Even if you do, the island is only 1.79 square miles, so no search parties will be necessary. Add biking through island roads, snorkeling in crystal waters, and leisurely kayaking (sometimes including a bottle or two of beer), and you're in for a truly exhilarating adventure.
With the most gorgeous beaches in Croatia on an island practically all to ourselves, cliffs that are just begging to be jumped off of, oceans to be sailed on our very own pirate ship during boat day, extensive fitness programming by some of the best coaches in the industry, and much more included in our Croatia adventure holiday experience, there is no need for you to look further for your once-in-a-lifetime trip.
These private European island vibes offer you the opportunity to take a step back, connect with your inner child, and create moments you’ll share around the dinner table for years to come. It’s a place that reminds you that there really can be more to life than the 9-to-5. And who doesn’t need a little break from reality once in a while? Join us. Paradise is calling; will you answer?
TESTIMONIALS
As we begin this trip, we will meet in Dubrovnik and arrive at the city's only international airport, Čilipi Airport (DBV).
Dubrovnik is rich in history and culture, stunning architecture and picturesque landscapes. We get explore the historical Old Town Dubrovnik and venture out onto the Adriatic Sea in kayaks to experience the iconic underground caves.
Accessible by boat from Dubrovnik, Lopud, a small island off the coast of southern Croatia, is one of our favorite places. Lopud is known for its historic ruins located at the highest point of the island, and we will hike to explore the island's beauty.
We even venture onto the Adriatic Sea to see the islands on the stunning Dalmatian Coast. But, we can't forget Croatia's exquisite pebble beaches that are unique to the region.
After exploring the beautiful areas around Dubrovnik, we depart from DBV.
Lopud (an SYB favorite) is home to LaFodia Sea Resort. This 4-star hotel is pure luxury, with seaside views & nature surrounding us. It is truly a unique experience!
LaFodia's private beaches gives us access to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Be ready to detox to retox!
Kuna is the currency of Croatia, but Euros are widely accepted in the region, as are USD (but Euros are preferred).
Most credit and debit cards are accepted at most banks and hotels, and any non-franchised ATMs will not charge a transaction fee.
ATMs are widely available throughout Dubrovnik, but we urge you to prepare and withdraw cash before the start of the trip!
We suggest bringing €300 to €400 to use at bars and a few of our dinners, but otherwise, we've got you covered! The average drink prices range from 9 to 18 Kuna, €4 or $4.
Part of the SYB lifestyle is enjoying fresh and local cuisines. Croatian cuisine takes influences from the Mediterranean, with seafood and fresh produce but also integrates simple strudels and schnitzels of Eastern Europe.
"Black Risotto," aka cuttlefish risotto, is a must-try! With its unique black color, this Croatian delicacy is common on the coast.
We get to have a few dinners at local restaurants, so get excited to explore local areas & indulge in the cuisines and culture!
Tap water in Croatia is excellent - some of the best in the world! We are perfectly safe to drink from the taps. However, if you leave Dubrovnik, try filtered or bottled water to be safe, as smaller townships have fewer regulations on their water.
Croatia is one of the safest countries in the world! The only significant risks we may experience are pickpockets or scammers in touristy areas.
Our accommodations will have safes for us to leave our valuables in, and we suggest leaving all important items in the safe while we are out exploring - but maybe keep your Yeezys and nice jewelry at home!
