Namaste

The Sri Lankan lifestyle is deeply intertwined with its rich religious history, and there’s a sense of peace and relaxation in the air. The zen is like nothing you’ve ever felt. Prepare for the most relaxing Shavasana of your life.

Tropical Safari

Turtles chillin’ on the sand, whales swimming right offshore, and packs of dolphins greet you as you have fun in the sun. And that’s just by the beach. Surf & Yoga: Our Specialty

We’ve done it again—another hidden gem surfer’s paradise at your service. The island is surrounded by two different oceans, making it possible to coast-hop and find waves all year round. The vibe is super chill, surf shops line the sand, and breaks are for all levels. Imagine riding along expansive beaches with clear blue water surrounded by tropical landscapes and possibly a new turtle friend or two. Hikkaduwa is one of the most developed surf towns in the country, which means plenty of beach bars to have a refreshing drink at after hitting the waves. This may be the most challenging decision you have to make the entire time.

After a long day of riding waves, it is time to zen out. Sri Lanka has been a wellness epicenter for centuries, and it’s not hard to tell why with idyllic stretches of sandy beaches and the tranquil atmosphere that envelops the country. There is no better place to center yourself and reap all the physical and mental benefits that yoga can offer than a destination filled with ancient healing wonders. If you know, you know.

Get in my belly

Sri Lankan cuisine is like nowhere else in the world. It’s a mix of Asian, Indian, and Dutch inspiration with its own unique taste and flair. The flavors are intense, from spicy curries to sweet onions to bitter melons; it’s a knock-your-socks-off, go big or go home kind of experience. Most meals contain rice, tropical fruits and veggies, and their shining star, coconut. These bad boys are in EVERYTHING. You’ve never realized how versatile coconuts are until you’ve eaten Sri Lankan food. Seafood is mega popular and often used as the primary protein, most likely with a coconut involved.

We’ve Got What You Need

With gorgeous oceans waiting to be shredded up, beach-front accommodation, jungle vibes with new animal besties, fitness programming by some of the best coaches in the industry, tastebud-exploding meals, and much more included in our Sri Lanka adventure travel experience, there is no need for you to look further for your once-in-a-lifetime trip.

Sri Lanka offers you the opportunity to take a step back, connect with your inner zen, and create moments you’ll share around the dinner table for years to come. It’s a place that reminds you that there really can be more to life than the 9-to-5. And who doesn’t need a little break from reality once in a while? Join us. Paradise is calling; will you answer?

The Location

Fly into Colombo International Airport Ratmalana (RML).

Hikkaduwa is a seaside town in southwestern Sri Lanka known for its surfing and beaches. Famous for delicious seafood curries, Buddhist temples, yoga and all water sports such as surging, snorkelling, diving and paddle boarding, Hikkaduwa is a surfer's paradise.

Offshore is home to Hikkaduwa National Park, a coral sanctuary home to marine turtles and exotic fish. Inland, Hikkaduwa is known for its beautiful temples and rich history.

Our Accomodations

Staying at a beachfront hotel, this is a surfer's paradise. Surrounded by the lush flora and fauna, this oasis is perfect for SYB.

Money in Sri Lanka

The Sri Lankan Rupee is the currency. There are not a lot of accessible ATMs in Sri Lanka for foreigners, so it is suggested to withdraw Sri Lankan rupees before entering the country or at a foreign exchange center in the airport. Credit cards are accepted in major cities but less so in smaller towns.

It is suggested to bring about $300 to $400 USD equivalent in rupees to cover any additional expenses on the trip.

Fuelling Our Bodies

Sri Lankan cuisine is known for unique combinations of herbs, spices, fish, vegetables, rice and fruit. Meals are primarily centred around rice and coconut, which is incredibly common across the country.

Inspired by Indian, Indonesian and Dutch influences, Sri Lankan cuisine is similar to those of neighboring Southeast Asian countries.

Sri Lanka is famous for its cinnamon, so don't forget to try their renowned spice blends using the rich cinnamon flavor.

Let's Talk Water

The drinking water in Sri Lanka is safe to consume. However, bottled and filtered water will be provided to avoid any risks.

Safety in Sri Lanka

Hikkaduwa is incredibly safe as it has been a tourist hub since the 1950s. Nevertheless, standard travelling precautions should be taken. There are risks of pickpocketing and scams, but it is slim.

Our accommodations will have safes for us to leave our valuables in, and we suggest leaving all important items in the safe while we are out exploring - but maybe keep your Yeezys and nice jewelry at home!
