Safety in Morocco
Once you arrive at Agadir’s AGA airport, you’ll be whisked away to our beachfront hotel, where the adventure begins! We’ll start with a chill beach workout to shake off the travel, then kick back with sunset beers or a refreshing glass of rosé at the beach bar. As night falls, prepare for a chef-curated Moroccan dinner spread and an evening under the stars with Moroccan dancing to beats from our local DJ and a few surprises. Trust us—this is just the start!
After a relaxing night in your villa, we dive into a full SYB day! We’ll kick things off with fun workout games on the beach, cool off with a swim, and dig into a hearty breakfast. Then it’s time to catch some waves with our surf instructors, rev up with an ATV tour on the beach, chill by the pool, and explore the local area. After sunset yoga, we’ll head into town for a group dinner—imagine Moroccan tagine and local flavors! The night wraps up with our first theme party, where the vibes are always epic.
Next stop: Marrakech! After breakfast, we’ll hit the road from Taghazout to this vibrant city. Immerse yourself in the sensory wonders of Marrakech, from the colorful spice markets to the sounds of local musicians. Wander through the Medina’s bustling alleys, savoring local flavors at every turn. After our guided tour, we’ll cap off the day with a unique dinner experience before diving into Marrakech’s unforgettable nightlife!
Feeling like a slower day? You’ll have a full free day to explore Marrakech, so after our morning workout, it’s time to roam! Get lost in the souks, visit iconic spots like La Mamounia, or treat yourself to a traditional hammam session. We’ll have recommendations for everything, whether you’re craving Le Tobsil’s famous dishes or looking for the perfect souvenir.
Then, we’re off to the desert for the final leg of our adventure! After a morning bootcamp and a hearty breakfast, we’ll check out and stop by the stunning Yves Saint Laurent Gardens (perfect for photos). Stock up on desert swag from the local markets, then head to the Lalla Takerkoust desert for a sunset camel ride as the stars begin to fill the sky. As night falls, our DJ will blend beats with Berber musicians for an epic desert party, complete with Burning Man vibes.
As dawn breaks, choose between an optional sunrise hot air balloon ride or lace up for a light jog through desert hills before breakfast. Then it’s time for an adrenaline-pumping ATV ride over the dunes. Afterward, unwind in our yoga shala or relax by the largest campfire you’ve ever seen, with live music under a blanket of stars. Our journey wraps up with SYB’s classic closing ceremonies to celebrate the memories made together.
On our last morning, it’s back to reality. We’ll check out early and hop on the SYB bus to Marrakech airport for flights home. Until next time—or our next wild adventure!

Fly into the country's southern Atlantic coast to Agadir Al-Massira International Airport (AGA). Agadir is located in the foothills of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. It is known for its exports of citrus fruit, vegetables, and fresh fish at the country's most vital fishing port. Agadir is also known for being Morocco's best beaches and beautiful warm Atlantic water for swimming & surfing. In-land from Agadir is the stunning Marrakech, known for its world-class souks (markets) with unique rugs, leather goods, silverware, pottery and local delicacies found in abundance. Aside from markets and rich cultural histories in Marrakech, the nightlife is to die for - known for mixes of western and Moroccan-inspired music. The Lalla Takerkoust desert is also known as the "Desert of Marrakech," is a unique desert landscape located just outside of Marrakech. We're going to takeover, true SYB style.
Drinking water from the tap is generally done by locals, but absolutely not for us travellers. Here, we stick to filtered and bottled water. But don't worry, we will constantly ensure that we have safe drinking water!
Morocco is a safe country for tourists. However, pickpocketing and scammers can be expected. Our accommodations will have safes for us to leave our valuables in, and we suggest leaving all important items in the safe while we are out exploring - but maybe keep your Yeezys and nice jewelry at home!
We suggest reading about cultural differences in Morocco to attempt to respect locals and immerse yourself in local culture.
