GETTING THERE
Arrive to Agadir Al-Massira International Airport (not Casablanca, this is Agadir) anytime before 2pm on the 1st to catch the SYB transport to our beach destination. If you arrive later please inform us before hand and we'll help you arrange a taxi. It is about an hour drive from the airport.
COMING HOME
We will finish in Marrakesh and you can take any flight that suits you.
The first three nights we're in Taghazout, followed by one night in Marrakesh and the remainder of the trip in the Lalla Takerkoust desert.
The Moroccan dirham (MAD) is the official currency of Morocco. USD and Euros are valid forms of currency in the country.
We suggest bringing $300 to $400 to use at bars and a few of our meals out, but otherwise, we've got you covered!
ATMs are widely available in Morocco, but we suggest withdrawing money in your home country to avoid international withdrawal fees.
We will provide dinners for the entire trip, but a few lunches won't be as we'll be wandering the markets in Marrakech or chilling by the pool in Taghazout Bay; it's up to you what you want!
Alcohol is not included, but impress your new friends and get bottle service for all!!
Moroccan cuisine is a mix of Arab, Mediterranean, sub-Saharan and some European influences, but it primarily aligns with traditional Arab cuisine.
Morocco is a large producer of fruits such as oranges, grapefruits, lemons, melons, plums, apricots, grapes, figs, and dates, and various vegetables such as potatoes, onions, zucchini, carrots, and pumpkin.
Spices and ras el hanout are incredibly common in Moroccan cooking, alongside fresh herbs.
Try tagine, kefta or anything using local spices and herbs for a flavour profile, unlike anything you may have tried!
While staying in Taghazout Bay, we are just steps away from a surf school. So wander on down to take two surf lessons during our time here! You'll be a pro in no time with your two included surf lessons.
This experience is included in trip fees.
We will be riding ATVs twice - once on the beach and once on the dunes. This way, we get our footing on our first beachfront trip, but then we take it to the desert and rip through the dunes like pros!
This experience is included in trip fees.
After a late night, you may not want to wake up and join us for a workout, but we highly suggest it! Included in your trip, the boot camps and yoga sessions keep us energized - there is nothing better than waking up and sweating with your new friends! Our world-class trip leaders know how to start your day the best way, with a good workout to prime us for a day of adventuring.
This experience is included in trip fees.
We will be doing a few cultural tours while in Morocco, from a tour of the Marrakech nightlife to the stunning YSL Garden and Museum to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou to the world-famous souks (markets) in Marrakech, we will be perfectly mixing culture with once in a lifetime adventures and fitness.
These experiences are included in trip fees.
We're taking hump day to a whole new level. Imagine a pack of your new friends riding camels through the desert with the world's largest dunes surrounding you. There truly is nothing more picturesque. This included experience is one in a lifetime, and the crowd of your friends from SYB will make this experience nothing but what you've dreamed about.
This experience is included in trip fees.
No need to whip out your phone or camera at any point throughout this trip because we have got you covered. We will have a professional photographer and videographer joining us on this trip to capture every moment. These will be the best travel photos and videos you will ever get - you're friends better be ready for a photo dump out of their wildest dreams!!
We highly recommend you get travel and/or medical insurance. This is just for emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.
Fly into the country's southern Atlantic coast to Agadir Al-Massira International Airport (AGA). Agadir is located in the foothills of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. It is known for its exports of citrus fruit, vegetables, and fresh fish at the country's most vital fishing port. Agadir is also known for being Morocco's best beaches and beautiful warm Atlantic water for swimming & surfing. In-land from Agadir is the stunning Marrakech, known for its world-class souks (markets) with unique rugs, leather goods, silverware, pottery and local delicacies found in abundance. Aside from markets and rich cultural histories in Marrakech, the nightlife is to die for - known for mixes of western and Moroccan-inspired music. The Lalla Takerkoust desert is also known as the "Desert of Marrakech," is a unique desert landscape located just outside of Marrakech. We're going to takeover, true SYB style.
Drinking water from the tap is generally done by locals, but absolutely not for us travellers. Here, we stick to filtered and bottled water. But don't worry, we will constantly ensure that we have safe drinking water!
Morocco is a safe country for tourists. However, pickpocketing and scammers can be expected. Our accommodations will have safes for us to leave our valuables in, and we suggest leaving all important items in the safe while we are out exploring - but maybe keep your Yeezys and nice jewelry at home!
We suggest reading about cultural differences in Morocco to attempt to respect locals and immerse yourself in local culture.
