wait, what
is this exactly?

Fair question. Here is the short version. We curated the best of the South of France into one week: Cassis, the Verdon Gorge, and Saint-Tropez, with a chic culture day in Aix-en-Provence in the middle.

In Cassis you hike the Calanques and spend a full day kayaking to hidden coves, basically living in that turquoise water. Then it is the Verdon Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Europe, for crystal lakes and aqua rando. And we finish in Saint-Tropez, full Riviera mode, landing right on the 4th of July. Coincidence? We think not.

how we roll

This is not a one-hotel-and-day-trips kind of week. It is a four-stop journey through the best of the Riviera, and our SYB bus does all the work. Coast first, then canyon, then the grand finale in world-famous Saint-Tropez.

Every hotel was scouted on the ground and handpicked as the right home base for its stop. Cassis for the harbor and the Calanques, Castellane for the Verdon adventure chapter, and Saint-Tropez country for the finale. Comfortable, well located, and built for the flow of the trip.

july 4th at
shellona beach club

There is exactly one place on earth to be on the 4th of July, and it is a beach club in Saint-Tropez. We are taking over Shellona, the Riviera's premier day club, for the celebration of the summer.

Three hours of open bar and a set lunch, on us. It starts tasteful, all linen and rose and Mediterranean menus. It ends the way St Tropez always ends, with the entire club on the tables. You will have stories.

but here is the
syb part

Plenty of people do the South of France. Almost nobody does it with a crew. This is SurfYogaBeer, so the postcard comes with morning workouts over turquoise water, spritz hour, harbor dinners, and people you will actually want to keep.

Most of the crew shows up solo. By day two you have people, and by Saint-Tropez you have a family that happens to look great in linen. You will come for the Riviera. You will stay for the people.

the days look
something like this

hike the calanques

Cliff trails above the bluest water in France, with workouts where the backdrop does half the motivating. Cassis is your basecamp.

kayak to hidden coves

A full day paddling out of Cassis to secret beaches and coves you can only reach from the water. Swim breaks are mandatory.

aix + the lavender

A proper culture day. Markets, cafes, shopping, people-watching in Aix, then endless purple rows of lavender on the way inland.

aqua rando the verdon

The Grand Canyon of Europe. Rafting without the raft, straight down turquoise water between limestone walls. The adventure chapter.

bikes, wine, rose

Countryside bike tour through Saint-Tropez vineyards, winery yoga, and a rose tasting that turns into golden hour very fast.

the crew

Come solo, leave with a squad. Most people arrive on their own. By spritz hour on day one, you have got people.

the rough
game plan

Four stops, one crew, and a finale timed to land on the 4th of July. Here is roughly how the week tends to flow.

Day 1

bonjour cassis

Check in at our harbor-town basecamp, first swim in that turquoise water, then a waterfront welcome dinner and lively Cassis energy.

Day 2

calanques national park

Morning movement, then cliff hikes through the Calanques with viewpoints that make everyone stop mid sentence. Spritz hour after, obviously.

Day 3

kayak mission

A full day on the water, paddling to hidden coves and little beaches only reachable by sea. Harbor dinner to close it out.

Day 4

aix, lavender, inland

Culture day in Aix-en-Provence, then the SYB bus rolls through the lavender fields on the way to Castellane, our village base for the Verdon.

Day 5

verdon gorge

Aqua rando through the Grand Canyon of Europe, lake swims, and an evening roaming a tiny historic village. Escargots for the bold.

Day 6

st tropez, full riviera mode

Roll into the Riviera finale. Countryside bike tour, winery yoga, rose tasting, and a beach evening to warm up for the big one.

Day 7

the 4th of july at shellona

The grand finale. Three hours of open bar and a set lunch at Saint-Tropez's premier day club, then the tables start filling with dancers. Next morning, one last breakfast and au revoir.

A sample flow based on how we ran it in 2026, not a fixed schedule. Final 2027 details drop to the waitlist first.
