Which SYB trips run over Labor Day weekend?

Two. Mambo Italiano is a week on the Amalfi Coast in Italy from August 31 to September 6, 2027, which ends on Labor Day. Island Takeover is a week on Lopud island in Croatia from September 4 to 10, 2027, which starts on the Saturday of the long weekend.

How many vacation days do I need?

With Labor Day off, four for either trip. Amalfi: Tuesday, August 31 to Friday, September 3. Croatia: Tuesday, September 7 to Friday, September 10.

How much do they cost?

Amalfi is from $3,150 per person in a shared room, with private rooms from $3,950, for 6 nights. Croatia is from $2,950 shared, with private rooms from $3,950, for 6 nights. Flights are extra. A 20% deposit holds your spot and the rest is due six weeks before the trip.

Which airports do I fly into?

Amalfi: Naples (NAP). Land by 12pm on August 31 for the SYB shuttle. The shuttle back reaches the airport by 7:00am on September 6. Croatia: Dubrovnik (DBV). Land by 12pm on September 4. The SYB boat leaves Gruz Port at 1pm, and on September 10 it is back in Dubrovnik by about 9:30am, so book your flight home for after 12pm.

Is the sea still warm in early September?

Yes. On the Amalfi Coast the sea is as warm as it gets all year and the August crowds have started to clear out. In Croatia the Adriatic is at its warmest from July to September, around the high 70s Fahrenheit.

Which meals and drinks are included?

Amalfi: six breakfasts, three dinners, a dinner experience in Nerano and a winery lunch at Mount Vesuvius, with unlimited prosecco on the two boat days. Three dinners and four lunches in town are on you. Croatia: six breakfasts and four dinners, with an open bar at SYB's own parties. Lunches and two dinners in town are on you.

What happens if I have to cancel?

Cancel more than 45 days before the trip starts and everything you have paid becomes trip credit, good toward any SYB trip within 12 months. Inside 45 days, payments are non-refundable. Travel and medical insurance is required.
