💬QUICK ANSWERS.

What is spring break for adults?

A week away in March for people who are done with college but not with spring break: workouts in the morning, surf lessons, a boat day and theme nights, with one group in one place. SYB runs it at Playa Maderas on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua.

When are SYB's spring break trips in 2027?

Four weeks at Playa Maderas, Nicaragua: March 14 to 19 (women only), March 19 to 24, March 24 to 29 and March 29 to April 3. Each is five nights.

Is March a good time to go to Nicaragua?

Yes. March is in the dry season, which runs November to April: sunny skies, warm water and mellow waves that are good for learning to surf. The rain starts in May.

Do I need to know how to surf?

No. Surf lessons are included and first timers start on the sand. The waves run mellow in late March, which makes it a good week to learn.

Can I come alone?

Yes. Most people come on their own. A shared spot is a girls or boys spot in a shared room, and a private room has its own bathroom.

How much does it cost?

From $1,950 per person in a shared room, or $2,650 for a private room with its own bathroom, for 5 nights. Flights are extra. Book more than six weeks before the trip and a 20% deposit holds your spot.

Which airport should I fly into?

Managua (MGA) if you can. It is about a 2.5 hour drive with no border. Liberia in Costa Rica (LIR) is about 3 hours plus a land border crossing. Land by 2:00 PM on arrival day for the group shuttle and book your flight home for 12:00 PM or later.

What happens if I have to cancel?

Cancel more than 45 days before the trip starts and everything you have paid becomes trip credit, good toward any SYB trip within 12 months. Inside 45 days, payments are non-refundable. Travel and medical insurance is required.
