Top 3 iconic moments

Three things you will do on this trip that you will still be talking about years later.

01SurfYogaBeer catamarans rafted up together at sunsetThe Boat Crawl

Every boat builds its own party, then we raft the catamarans up at anchor off Dokos and go boat to boat by dinghy, by swimming, by whatever works. Theme, playlist, signature drink, all yours. It is the best night of the week, every single time.

02An SYB guest standing on an ATV above the sea on PorosATVs on Poros

A full day on four wheels. Pine forest roads, the ruins of the Temple of Poseidon, a lookout over the whole Saronic Gulf and a swim stop at Love Bay. Loud, dusty, salty and the most fun you will have with a helmet on.

03An SYB catamaran anchored in a turquoise cove from aboveCoves nobody else gets to

Catamarans go where the ferries cannot. We drop anchor in empty turquoise bays, jump off the back of the boat, snorkel, paddle and float until someone yells that lunch is ready. Then we do it again at the next one.

📅 The Day By Day

Eight days, planned so you never have to think about it.

Our Lagoon 46 catamaran under sail
Day 1Welcome aboard

Saturday. Board in Athens, anchor by sunset.

The full day

Land at Athens airport by noon. Our shuttle leaves at 12 sharp and takes the whole crew to the marina, included in your trip. Landing later? You will need to get yourself there, and we can book you a private transfer for an extra cost. At the marina you meet your captain, your leader and the boat you will call home for the week, do a quick safety brief, and make a supply run so everyone can load up on whatever they like to drink. We cast off by 4pm, drop anchor in a quiet bay by sunset, and everybody jumps in. First dinner together on the boat.

Poros town and harbour from the water
Day 2Poros and ATV day

Four wheels, ruins and Love Bay.

The full day

A morning swim off the back of the boat, a workout, and a short sail into Poros. Then we swap the boat for ATVs: pine forest roads, the ruins of the Temple of Poseidon, the old monastery and a swim stop at Love Bay. Back on the boats sandy and happy, then dinner out on the Poros waterfront.

The SYB crew in front of the Poseidonion Grand Hotel on Spetses
Day 3Spetses

Almost no cars, the prettiest harbour of the week.

The full day

The fastest way to wake up is a backflip off the back of the boat. Breakfast, then we sail for Spetses: horse carriages, pine trees, grand old sea captain houses and the best old harbour on the route. Wander, swim, shop, and then the whole crew heads out for a group dinner in town.

The crew relaxing at a beach club with white umbrellas
Day 4Porto Heli

Breakfast in port, beach club, secret cove.

The full day

A workout on the beach before anyone else is up, then breakfast out in port. Afternoon at a beach club with a swim-up everything, then we slip out to a quiet cove nearby to anchor for the night. Sunset swim, paddleboard and sea scooter time, stars.

A guest celebrating on a hilltop above the sea
Day 5Dokos and the Boat Crawl

Ridge hike, then the best night of the week.

The full day

Dokos is barely inhabited, which is exactly why we go. A morning hike up the ridge for views over the whole gulf, a swim in water so clear it looks fake, then lunch and afternoon beers on the boat. At sunset we raft the catamarans together for the Boat Crawl: every boat hosts its own party with its own theme, playlist and drink, and we swim and dinghy between them. Dinner on the boats.

The crew on deck at golden hour
Day 6Hydra

No cars, cliff swims, Toga Night.

The full day

Hydra has no cars, just donkeys, stone lanes and cannons over the harbour. We sail in mid-morning, climb up to a viewpoint for the photo you will post for a year, cliff-jump and swim off the rocks, then grab a sunset drink on the water. Toga Night and dinner back on the boats. Pack a white sheet. We are serious.

The SYB crew partying on deck at night
Day 7Sail home, last night in Athens

Back in port before sunset, then Athens after dark.

The full day

A last workout, a last swim stop, and a long sail back to Athens. We are in port before sunset and spend our final night on the boats at the marina. Dress up for our last dinner together and the famous SYB awards, then we hit the Athens party scene.

The whole SurfYogaBeer Greece crew together
Day 8Check out

Saturday. Off the boat by 10am.

The full day

One last morning on the boat. Pack up and say thank you to the captains who looked after us all week. Everyone is off the boat by 10am, and the airport taxi leaves the port at 10am, so book flights home from about 1pm or stay and explore Athens. You leave with a tan line, sea legs and a group chat that will not stop.

Every day is planned for you. The wind gets a vote on the order, and every single thing on here is optional.

🛌Where you sleep

Seven nights, two catamarans, a new bay most mornings.

Home for the week is a pair of Lagoon 46 catamarans: Galaxy (built 2022) and Mary Grace II (built 2024). Catamarans are way more stable than sailboats, so they are more comfortable for cruising, sailing and sleeping. Each boat has four double cabins with their own bathroom and shower, air conditioning that runs up to 6 hours every night, Wi-Fi, a full kitchen with fridges, a big shaded cockpit, and a stand up paddleboard and a sea scooter for swim stops. On warm nights, grab a cushion and sleep on the deck above your cabin under the stars. It is magic.

Every boat gets a local captain who does the sailing and an SYB leader who runs the itinerary, the photos, the workouts and the activities. You are not the crew, but we do ask everyone to lend a hand with meals, otherwise your leader ends up doing all of it. Half the time we are in port anyway, in Porto Heli and a few others, heading out for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We do not provide alcohol, but we stop where everyone can load up on whatever they like to drink, and the fridges keep it cold.

FAQs

Because this is Greece from the water, which is the only way to really do it.

Most people see the islands from a ferry deck and a hotel pool. We sail our own catamarans, anchor in coves the ferries skip, swim before breakfast, and roll into Poros, Spetses and Hydra like we own the harbour.

A local captain handles the sailing, an SYB leader on every boat handles the plan, and you just show up in a swimsuit.

Nope, you are not the crew. There is no chef on board, so your SYB leader takes the lead on meals, and we ask everyone to lend a hand so they are not doing all of it. Chop a tomato, rinse a plate, make a round of coffee. That kind of thing.

Officially we include 3 breakfasts, light lunches, 3 dinners on the boat and 2 group dinners out. The rest of the time we are in port, in Porto Heli and a few others, heading out for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Each boat has a full kitchen with fridges.

Land at Athens airport by noon on Saturday. Our shuttle leaves at 12 sharp and takes everyone to the marina, and that is included. We cast off by 4pm.

If you land after noon, you will need to get yourself to the marina. We are happy to set up a private transfer for you at an extra cost, just ask.

On the last Saturday, everyone is off the boat by 10am and the airport taxi leaves the port at 10am, also included. Book flights home from about 1pm.

No, we do not provide alcohol on this trip. We plan stops where everyone can load up on whatever they like to drink, and the fridges on board keep it cold.

Yes, and a lot of people do.

Between workouts, boat days, and shared meals, it’s easy to meet people quickly. A couple of days in, it feels like you’re traveling with friends.

People who like a mix of activity, culture and lifestyle.

Typically:

  • Late 20s to 40s (sometimes even 50s)
  • Social, open-minded
  • Looking for something more engaging than a typical vacation

Yes, in the best way. Morning workouts on deck or on the beach, island hikes on Dokos and Hydra, a full ATV day on Poros, and more swimming, snorkelling and paddling than you can count.

Everything is optional. Some days the most active thing you will do is climb back up the swim ladder.

Salty, social and a little bit feral. Days are sun, swims and island towns. Nights are long dinners in port, sunsets on deck and at least one Boat Crawl you will talk about for years.

You live closely with your boat crew for a week, so it bonds people fast. Strangers on day one, family by day three.

We sail the Saronic Gulf, a short hop south of Athens, starting and ending at the marina in Athens. On the route: Poros, Spetses, Porto Heli, Dokos and Hydra, with swim stops in whatever empty coves we find on the way.

We are back in Athens before sunset on Friday, spend the last night on the boats in port, and hit the Athens party scene after our last dinner.

The wind gets a vote, so the captains may shuffle the order to find the calmest water and the best anchorages.

We sail two Lagoon 46 catamarans, Galaxy (2022) and Mary Grace II (2024). Catamarans are much more stable than sailboats, which makes them more comfortable for cruising, sailing and sleeping.

Each has four double cabins with a private bathroom and shower, air conditioning that runs up to 6 hours a night, Wi-Fi, a full kitchen, a big shaded cockpit, a paddleboard and a sea scooter. Plenty of people end up sleeping on the deck above their cabin, under the stars.

Catamarans are much steadier than sailboats, and the Saronic Gulf is sheltered water, so most people feel nothing at all.

If you get motion sick, bring non-drowsy tablets or sea bands and tell your leader. We sail mostly in the mornings and spend afternoons at anchor.

Yes.

We’ve been running trips here for years and work with the same trusted local partners, captains, and guides who know the coast well.

Everything is organized in advance, so you’re not figuring things out on your own.

Yes. Your boat leader is in charge of photos and video all week, from drone-worthy anchorages to the Boat Crawl, so you can stay present and still go home with the best photo dump of your life.

If you like the idea of:

  • Exploring during the day
  • Eating well and enjoying where you are
  • Staying active without overdoing it
  • Sharing it with a good group

Then yes.

If you’re looking for something fully independent or very low-key, it may not be the best fit.
